The health sector is part of the renaissance witnessed by Turkey in various economic and industrial fields in recent years, as this sector witnessed a comprehensive renaissance on the quantitative and qualitative levels. This was reflected in a significant increase in the number of health institutions equipped with the latest technologies.
One of the most prominent features of the renaissance in the health sector is the already established medical cities and the medcal cities being established by the Turkish government with the highest standards of modernity and technology.
In this context, The hub of Turkey, Istanbul is going this year 2020 to inaugurate one of the largest medical cities in Turkey, the medical city of Basaksehir, which is nominated to occupy a distinguished position among the largest medical cities in Turkey and the world and to be one of the largest medical cities around the world.
Stated in a tweet published by the President of the Republic on his official Twitter account: "We work through the medical cities to supplement the health sector in our country with centers equipped with the latest contemporary medical technology."
He also added: "In this context, we will inaugurate the first phase of the Ikitelli Basaksehir Medical City, which has 2682 beds, on April 20, and we will work with maximum capacity to complete the rest of the medical cities projects, and open them for the service of our citizens as soon as possible."

In his speech at the Presidency meeting that took place a few days ago, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that the work in the medical city of Basaksehir is near to end and that it would be inaugurated in the coming months. With its advanced technologies, it will greatly support the medical tourism sector in Turkey.
In a report by the Anadolu Agency, says that the medical city of Basaksehir will start operating with full capacity of 2,682 beds, 520 of which are in intensive care departments in May.
